Anti-crack uncoupling membrane — DYSO

(15)
€229,99 30.0m2 per roll/pack — €7,67/m2

The floor cracks and the tile never knows. DYSO is laid between the screed and the new floor and disconnects one from the other. If the substrate cracks, the membrane absorbs the movement and the finish does not break.

It is the membrane that prevents the classic new-build problem: laying ceramic tiles over a recent screed and watching cracks appear months later.

What is it for?

  • Underfloor heating
  • Recent screeds that are still moving
  • Large-format porcelain
  • Floors over cracked substrates

  1. Prepare the screed

Clean, sound and level. Particularly suitable over underfloor heating and recently laid screeds.

  2. Lay DYSO butt jointed

Bonded with C2 S1 or S2 tile adhesive, with no overlap. Leave perimeter joints of at least 8 mm.

  3. Wait 24 hours and tile

After that time you can lay the tiles, even large format.

Why uncouple?

With DYSO vs. direct laying

With DYSO membrane Direct laying
Cracks in the substrate Not transmitted to the floor End up showing through the tile
Thermal stresses Absorbed by the membrane Cause cracking and debonding
Underfloor heating Compatible and recommended Risk of cracking
Future repairs Minimal Lifting the entire floor
