We sell both brands and the price difference is obvious, so let's get to the point: Acquafácil is not second-rate Revestech. It's a different product, for a different scenario. In many bathrooms it's exactly what you need; in others it falls short, and it's worth knowing which is which.

What that means in practice
The acqua lam L does what it promises well: waterproofing under the floor finish in interior wet areas. Its test results are solid —it withstands 28 days in a saturated calcium hydroxide solution without its values changing, and the overlap bonded with C2 tile adhesive stays watertight after a 1 m water column for 24 hours—. It also works as a vapour barrier.
What it doesn't have is what justifies the price of the other one: CE marking under EN 13956, a declared crack bridging capacity of up to 3.6 mm, and the documentation a technician can submit on a job with a written specification.
When Acquafácil is the right choice
- Renovation of a domestic bathroom, a standard tiled shower.
- Stable substrate, with no foreseeable structural movement.
- Indoors. Always indoors.
- Tight budget where the difference really shows.
When it isn't
- Terrace, roof or balcony. Those take a 0.8 mm membrane as a minimum.
- Pool. Only 1.25 mm and a complete system — we explain it in the pool guide.
- Underfloor heating or a recent screed. There what you need first is DYSO.
- A job with documentary requirements: environmental certification, technical specification, public works. The declaration of performance and the EPD of the ECODRY line are documents you can present.

Here the comparison is more concrete, because what changes is the installation height and the flow rate:

Note one detail that decides for you: if your floor slab only leaves you 60 mm, the Elegance fits and the SUMI LEVEL doesn't. Measure the available depth before you look at prices.
