It is the call we get most often after an order: the material is already at home, and when it comes to bonding, the doubt comes up about what is used where. Let's take it in order.

Tile adhesive: what we do not sell but does matter
The membrane is bonded to the substrate with flexible tile adhesive of class C2 S1 or S2, using a no. 6 or 8 notched trowel. You buy that product at any builders' merchant and that is why we do not carry it in our catalogue.
But there is a warning worth taking seriously: C2 tile adhesives vary a lot between manufacturers. Before buying it, check on its technical data sheet that it is compatible both with your substrate and with the final covering. Revestech expressly disclaims responsibility if an unsuitable adhesive is used, and it is a point that gets overlooked on site all the time.
SEALPLUS: the one you will use most
SEALPLUS is the sealant of the system. You need it in practically any installation:
- 10 cm overlaps between sheets of ECODRY50, DRY50, ECODRY80 and DRY80.
- Butt joints of the 1.25 mm membranes, which do not overlap: they go edge to edge, with a strip on top and double sealing.
- Bonding of all the preformed pieces: internal and external corners, pipe reinforcements, scuppers and SUMI56 drains.
- Expansion joints and junctions with planters or artificial grass.
It comes in a 6 kg tub for site work and in a 600 ml blister for a bathroom or a one-off finishing detail.
Pools: there is no margin here
In a pool shell the system is mandatory and in this order: PRIMERPOOL as a polyurethane primer, then SEALPLUS, then the 13 cm strip, then a second seal. And TECHPOOL, the specific polyurethane adhesive.

The self-adhesive membrane is a case apart
ECODRY50 TACK comes with no tub of adhesive: you peel off the film and stick it down. But it requires PRIMER TACK on the substrate and on the 10 cm overlaps, letting it flash off for 5 to 10 minutes before laying. It is also applied before forming the corners.
Without that primer the membrane grips at first and comes away later. It is the most expensive mistake with this product.
REVESTECHFLEX: the visible finishing detail
REVESTECHFLEX is a modified silane adhesive, in a 300 ml cartridge. It is used to bond the tile onto the profiles of LEVEL trays and drains, and to fix the perimeter strip onto the flange of the tray. It already comes included in the PLATO LEVEL, LINEAL LEVEL and SUMI LEVEL kits, so you do not need to order it separately if you buy one of them.

How much of each do I need?
Here we are frank: Revestech does not publish coverage rates per tub or per cartridge. It depends on the bead width, the number of overlaps and how many preformed pieces your installation has.
If you give us the dimensions and the type of project, we will work out the quantities for you. It is more reliable than estimating from a table that does not exist.
